Lockwood Girls High School, a boarding school, opened its doors to the first girls in January 2005

Lockwood Girl's is situated along Nairobi-Nakuru highway fifteen kilometers from Nakuru town near Greensteds International School. Our carefully chosen location and conducive environment contributes a lot to our success. The surrounding scenic beauty contributes to a good academic atmosphere.

Physical Facilites & Buildings
We have spacious and airy buildings i.e. Classrooms, Multipurpose Dining hall, Library,
Modern Kitchen, a well designed Administration Block and a modern science block. Good lockable Desk and chair for each students are provided.
Boarding Facilities
Our dormitories are well designed to be friendly and homely. Each dormitory is divided into cubicles to make the girls feel as if they are at home. Each cubicle is fully equipped with a bed and ample lighting. The toilet and bathrooms are clean and well ventilated and have modern facilities. Proper cleaning and sanitation arrangments are in place and we have hot water in our showers. Our aim is to make every boarder feel at home from home.
Curriculum
The school offers 8.4.4 subjects for K.C.S.E. Maths, English, Kiswahili, Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography, History & Government, Business education, Christian religious Education, Information Communications Technology, Aviation Technology and French.
Computer studies are mandatory to every student. We have a modern and fully equipped computer laboratory. Each student should be computer literate by the time they leave school after form four.
Staffing
Quality education demands a good staff. We have a team of highly qualified trained and dedicated staff.
Guidance and Counseling
This is part and parcel of the learning process and we have a fully fledged counseling program in the school which offers individual and group counseling. Professional counselors are invited to talk to students and to help them deal with their day to day challenging situations.
We are also dividing our students into family groups each under a parent teacher. This will help students create firmer interactions and also give a closer teacher/student monitoring and interaction
Security
The school is well secured by guards backed up by trained dogs and alarm system. Most of the staff live in the school and in the vicinity.
